Unauthenticated file read via path traversal
Published Jan 7, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Path traversal in Error Log Viewer By WP Guru 1.0.1.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files via AJAX. The wp_ajax_nopriv_elvwp_log_download action accepts an attacker-controlled path without confining the resolved file to the configured error log. No authentication or user interaction is required; disclosure is limited to files readable by the WordPress server process and can expose configuration secrets.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
