CVE-2024-12842Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Administrator session compromise via unsanitized keyword

Published Dec 20, 2024 · Updated Dec 24, 2024

Reflected XSS in emlog Pro 2.4.0 and 2.4.1 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript via the user-search keyword parameter. /admin/user.php concatenates the keyword value directly into HTML output without sanitization, so a crafted URL reflects executable markup. Exploitation requires an administrator to open the crafted URL, allowing browser-session data exposure or actions in that administrator's context.
