Authenticated account takeover via crafted identity-switch request
Published Dec 31, 2024 · Updated Dec 31, 2024
Authentication bypass in CGFIDO before 1.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to assume any user identity, including administrators. The passwordless login mechanism accepts a crafted identity-switch request without requiring authentication as the selected account. A regular account is required; successful exploitation grants the selected account's access, while implementation details remain undisclosed.
