Code execution via STP parser type confusion
Published Dec 30, 2024 · Updated Dec 31, 2024
Type confusion in Delta Electronics DRASimuCAD 1.02 allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted STP file. The STP parser accepts user-supplied data with an incompatible type because it does not properly validate the data before using it. Execution requires the target to open the file or visit a malicious page, and the code runs in the current process context.
