CVE-2024-12833

Authentication bypass via stored auto-discovery script injection

Published Feb 11, 2025 · Updated Feb 12, 2025

Stored XSS in Paessler PRTG Network Monitor through 25.1.102.1351 allows network-adjacent attackers to bypass authentication. The auto-discovery process insufficiently validates device data and stores attacker-supplied script content for the web interface. Exploitation requires an administrator to interact with that content, enabling script execution in the administrator's session and privilege escalation.
