Authenticated content overwrite via unchecked demo import
Published Jan 7, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Laborator Aurum 4.0.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to overwrite site content with demo data. The lab_1cl_demo_install_package_content function imports a selected demo package without checking the caller's WordPress capability. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and exploitation replaces existing content with imported demo content without granting broader control.
