Database query manipulation via unescaped id parameter
Published Jan 27, 2025 · Updated Jan 27, 2025
SQL injection in Altra Side Menu through 2.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries via a menu-icon edit request. The admin.php page for altra_menu_icon_add places the unescaped id parameter into a SQL statement, permitting appended SQL expressions. Administrator access is required, and the published proof of concept demonstrates attacker-controlled time-delay query execution.
