Code execution via unvalidated AcroForm buffer read
Published Dec 30, 2024 · Updated Jan 1, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Foxit PDF Reader 2024.2.3.25184 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted PDF. AcroForm handling fails to validate user-supplied data before reading an allocated buffer, allowing a read past its end. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file, and code runs in the current process.
