Use of a default cryptographic key in Baxter Welch Allyn Connex Spot Monitor 1.52 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter device data. The monitor applies a shared default key to critical configuration and firmware functions, allowing reuse of that key to modify protected data. Network reachability and high attack complexity are required; successful tampering can compromise the device and delay patient care.
