Admin-context script execution via unescaped set_type parameter
Published Jan 28, 2025 · Updated Jan 28, 2025
Reflected XSS in Infility Global for WordPress 2.9.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts through a crafted URL. The plugin outputs the set_type query parameter on its administration page without sanitizing or escaping it, reflecting injected script markup into the response. Exploitation requires a high-privilege user such as an administrator to open the link; the script then runs in that user's browser context.
