Unauthenticated data deletion via unchecked AJAX handlers
Published Jan 7, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in WP Chill RSVP and Event Management 2.7.13 and earlier allows remote attackers to delete attendee and question records. Several AJAX handlers, including bulk_delete_attendees() and bulk_delete_questions(), perform destructive record operations without checking a WordPress capability. No authentication is required for deletion; an authenticated account can also change question menu ordering, limiting the reported impact to stored event data integrity.
