CVE-2024-12655Public exploit

Local system crash via crafted IOCTL request

Published Dec 16, 2024 · Updated Dec 16, 2024

Null pointer dereference in FabulaTech USB over Network 6.0.6.1 allows local users to crash Windows via a crafted IOCTL request. The ftusbbus2.sys handler for control code 0x220420 dereferences a null pointer while processing the request instead of rejecting it. A low-privileged local user who can access the driver can trigger a system crash; no confidentiality or integrity impact is reported.
