Unauthenticated code execution via XPS font processing

An out-of-bounds write in Canon printer firmware 05.04 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through crafted XPS font data. The XPS data font processor writes beyond a buffer while handling attacker-controlled font content; Canon has not disclosed the responsible routine or malformed field. Network-segment access and no authentication are required, and successful exploitation can run arbitrary code or leave the printer unresponsive.
