Buffer overflow in Canon printer firmware 05.04 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code or hang the device via a crafted TIFF file. The TIFF EXIF tag processor writes attacker-controlled tag data outside the intended buffer bounds during network-supplied image processing. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation executes code in firmware context or leaves the appliance unresponsive.
