Out-of-bounds write in CPCA font download processing in Canon printers running firmware 05.04 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code. Crafted font-download data causes the CPCA handler to write beyond its intended buffer. Network-segment access and no authentication or user interaction are required; exploitation can also crash the printer and leave it unresponsive.
