Unauthenticated user-data disclosure via predictable export filenames
Published Jan 17, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Sensitive information exposure in Moving Users 1.05 and earlier allows remote attackers to retrieve exported WordPress user data. The export function leaves JSON files at predictable web-accessible locations and assigns filenames that unauthenticated clients can guess. Exposure requires an export to remain on the server and includes email addresses, password hashes, IP addresses, and user metadata.
