Stored cross-site scripting via nonce-less settings update
Published Mar 7, 2025 · Updated Mar 7, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in Related Posts By PickPlugins 2.0.59 allows remote attackers to store scripts through forged settings requests. The settings handler in includes/menu/settings.php processes administrator-submitted values without validating a WordPress nonce, allowing attacker-controlled markup to be saved. Exploitation requires an authenticated site administrator to open or submit an attacker-crafted request; the stored script then executes in later page views.
