Administrator-level stored XSS via cache-folder setting
Published Dec 14, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Budiony Damyanov’s bodi0’s Easy Cache 0.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject browser scripts. The plugin accepts the cache-folder setting without sufficient input sanitization and renders its stored value without output escaping, so affected pages execute injected script. Exploitation requires administrator-level access and is limited to multisite installations or sites where unfiltered_html is disabled; code runs in a visitor’s browser.
