Authenticated database disclosure via unprepared AJAX queries
Published Jan 16, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
SQL injection in coder426 Passwords Manager 1.4.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read database data via AJAX requests. Several AJAX handlers incorporate the user-influenced $wpdb->prefix value into existing SQL queries without sufficient escaping or prepared statements. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to append SQL and extract sensitive database records; no data modification or service interruption is reported.
