Settings modification via missing nonce validation
Published Jan 9, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Opace AI Scribe 2.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to update plugin settings via forged requests. The al_scribe_content_data action accepts submitted settings and writes them without correctly validating a WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires an administrator with an active session to open an attacker-controlled link or page, and the demonstrated consequence is limited to unauthorized plugin-setting changes.
