Authenticated file upload via unrestricted pic_url handling
Published Feb 6, 2024 · Updated May 7, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in the JPShop API through 1.5.02 allows remote authenticated users to upload files through pic_url. The actionIndex function in /api/controllers/admin/app/ComboController.php accepts the pic_url argument without restricting dangerous file types. A low-privileged authenticated API session can place attacker-chosen files through the administrative Combo endpoint; public records do not establish that uploaded files execute.
