Stored XSS via unescaped Countdown widget attributes
Published Feb 11, 2025 · Updated Jun 3, 2026
Stored XSS in DevItems HT Mega Addons for Elementor 2.8.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through Countdown attributes. The Countdown widget accepts user-supplied attributes without sufficient input sanitization and emits them into page output without adequate escaping. Contributor-level access is required, and the stored script runs in a visitor's browser whenever an injected page is opened, enabling page manipulation and access to data available to that browser session.
