Authenticated log forgery via unvalidated download identifiers
Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Mar 20, 2025
Log injection in LibreChat before 0.7.6 allows remote authenticated users to forge debug-log entries through crafted download URLs. The /code/download/:sessionId/:fileId and /download/:userId/:file_id routes pass unvalidated identifiers into debug logging, allowing control characters to split or forge entries. A valid account and network access are required; forged records can distort monitoring and hinder incident investigation without reported confidentiality or availability impact.
