CVE-2024-12556Network attack vector

Authenticated code injection via traversal-enabled file upload

Published Apr 8, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Prototype pollution in Elastic Kibana 8.16.1 through 8.16.3 and 8.17.0 through 8.17.1 allows remote authenticated users to inject code. The Integration Assistant permits unrestricted file uploads and path traversal, but Elastic has not disclosed the affected function or prototype-writing operation. Exploitation requires low privileges and user interaction and can compromise confidentiality and integrity without reported service interruption.
