Information disclosure via malformed JP2 parsing
Published Feb 11, 2025 · Updated Feb 12, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Tungsten Automation Power PDF 5.1.0.41 allows remote attackers to disclose memory via a crafted JP2 file. The JP2 parser fails to validate user-supplied file data before reading beyond the end of an allocated object. Exploitation requires a user to visit a malicious page or open the file; the direct impact is process-memory disclosure, which can support a separate exploit chain.
