Stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Jan 11, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Dominion – Domain Checker for WPBakery 2.3.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via shortcode attributes. The dominion_shortcodes_domain_search_6 shortcode insufficiently sanitizes user-supplied attributes and renders them without adequate output escaping. Contributor-level access is sufficient to store a payload in a page, and the script runs in a visitor's browser whenever that page is viewed.
