LDAP credential disclosure via server redirection
Published Feb 3, 2025 · Updated Feb 27, 2025
Improper authentication in Xerox VersaLink, Phaser 6510, and WorkCentre 6515 firmware allows administrators to capture LDAP credentials. The LDAP configuration page accepts a replacement server IP, and a user-mapping lookup then sends stored LDAP service credentials in cleartext to that server. Exploitation requires printer-administrator access and an active LDAP configuration; the attacker-controlled listener receives the configured service-account secret.
