Service interruption via unvalidated iframe messages
Published Apr 17, 2024 · Updated Sep 8, 2026
Origin validation error in affected Keycloak-based products allows remote attackers to interrupt services through crafted browser messages. The OIDC checkLoginIframe handler accepts cross-origin messages without validating their origin and turns them into repeated server requests. A victim must load attacker-controlled code; coordinated message floods can exhaust server resources and disrupt authentication availability.
