Sensitive database disclosure via unprepared shortcode query
Published Jan 10, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
SQL injection in Opace AI Scribe 2.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive database data via template_id. The article_builder_generate_data shortcode inserts the user-controlled template_id value into an existing SQL query without sufficient escaping or preparation. Contributor-level access is required, and successful injection can append queries that extract database information.
