Unauthenticated SQL injection via unescaped sort direction
Published Dec 25, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
SQL injection in WP Data Access 5.5.22 and earlier allows remote attackers to extract sensitive database information without authentication. WPDA_Data_Tables.php accepts order[user_login][dir] and incorporates it into an existing SQL query without sufficient escaping or preparation. Any network visitor who can reach the affected table request can append SQL syntax; the reported consequence is database disclosure only.
