Unauthenticated shortcode execution via unchecked action value
Published Jan 7, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Code injection in WOW Styler for CF7 1.7.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary shortcodes without authentication. An action handler in admin/class-cf7-customizer-admin.php passes an attacker-controlled value to do_shortcode without validating which shortcode runs. No account or user interaction is required; available shortcodes determine the resulting data exposure or modification, while the reflected XSS path was fixed separately.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
