Authenticated internal resource disclosure via unchecked Arxiv URLs
Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Mar 20, 2025
SSRF in GPT Academic at commit 310122f allows remote authenticated users to read server-reachable resources through the Arxiv downloader. The paper-download workflow accepts an attacker-supplied URL without restricting it to arxiv.org, then fetches the destination and returns its response. Access to the authenticated plugin is required; reachable internal services and cloud metadata can disclose data or credentials.
