Cleartext tunnel traffic after Tunnelsec agent restart
Published May 8, 2025 · Updated May 8, 2025
Cleartext transmission in Arista Networks CloudVision Portal allows remote attackers to read Secure VXLAN traffic after Tunnelsec restarts. When the agent restarts, affected EOS software changes a secure tunnel from Established to Connected while continuing to exchange packets without encryption. Secure VXLAN must be configured; Arista's advisory lists CloudVision Portal as unaffected and limits affected platforms to four 7280CR3MK switch models.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
