Heap-based buffer overflow in Rockwell Automation PowerMonitor 1000 before 4.020 allows remote attackers to execute code or crash the device. During HTTP Digest processing, sprintf builds method:URI in a fixed heap buffer without checking that the combined value stays within 254 bytes. The parser handles the oversized Authorization URI before authentication, so no credentials are required; exploitation crashes the meter or enables code execution.
