CVE-2024-12356Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated command execution via unvalidated session key

Published Dec 17, 2024 · Updated Oct 21, 2025

Command injection in BeyondTrust Remote Support and Privileged Remote Access 24.3.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute OS commands. The thin-scc-wrapper accepts an unvalidated gskey from an unauthenticated WebSocket client and passes it into a psql query that reaches shell meta-commands. No account or user action is required; commands run with site-user privileges, and tested Remote Support exploitation chained a PostgreSQL parsing flaw.
