CVE-2024-12352Network attack vector

Authenticated service interruption via ssid buffer overflow

Published Dec 9, 2024 · Updated Dec 9, 2024

Stack-based buffer overflow in TOTOLINK EX1800T 9.1.0cu.2112_B20220316 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service. The sub_40662C function in /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi fails to bound a crafted ssid argument before writing it into a stack buffer. Low-privilege access to the network CGI interface is required; published technical details establish service interruption but do not demonstrate code execution.
