Sensitive affiliate data exposure via unchecked export
Published Mar 15, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in WC Affiliate 2.5.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to download sensitive affiliate data. The export_all_data AJAX handler registered as wf-export-all processes export requests without checking the caller’s WordPress capability, returning affiliate records that include personally identifiable information. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and the exposed export can contain personally identifiable information about affiliates.
