CVE-2024-1233Network attack vector

Unauthenticated SSRF via unfiltered JWT jku URLs

Published Apr 9, 2024 · Updated Dec 1, 2025

Server-side request forgery in WildFly Elytron allows remote attackers to make application servers send HTTP requests to chosen URLs. JwtValidator.resolvePublicKey accepts a JWT jku header and retrieves its key URL without validating the destination against an allowlist. Exploitation requires a deployed application to process attacker-supplied JWTs through a configured token realm, exposing resources reachable from the server.
