Contributor-level financial-record disclosure via missing capability checks
Published Dec 12, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Authorization bypass in G5Theme Essential Real Estate 5.1.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read invoices and transaction logs. The trans_log, invoice, and user_package post types are registered without restrictive capability mappings, exposing their administrative records to roles that can edit posts. Contributor-level access is required; the reported consequence is read access to payment records, with no reported ability to modify them or disrupt the site.
