PHP object injection via crafted cookie deserialization
Published Jan 7, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
PHP object injection in Compare Products for WooCommerce 3.2.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject PHP objects via a crafted cookie. Cookie-handling code in classes/class-wc-compare-functions.php passes the untrusted woo_compare_list value to PHP deserialization without restricting object creation. A usable POP chain from another installed plugin or theme is required; with one present, object injection enables arbitrary file deletion, sensitive-data access, or code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
