Unauthenticated scheduled-post voting via unchecked identifier
Published Dec 13, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
IDOR in Rate My Post 4.2.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to vote on unpublished scheduled posts through a crafted post identifier. The voting handler fails to use get_post_status() to reject an attacker-controlled identifier that references content not yet published. No authentication is required; successful requests alter rating data for scheduled content that visitors should not yet be able to rate.
