Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped transition speed
Published Feb 24, 2025 · Updated Feb 24, 2025
Stored XSS in LogicHunt Logo Slider WP before 4.6.0 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts through crafted shortcode settings. The lgx_carousel_transition_speed setting accepts attacker-controlled text and is emitted into a front-end carousel attribute without validation or output escaping. Contributor-level access is required to store the payload, and a visitor must hover over the rendered carousel before the script runs in that visitor's browser.
