Authentication bypass in Moxa EDS-508A and PT switch firmware allows remote attackers to gain unauthorized device access. The authorization mechanism combines exposed client-side logic with back-end verification that accepts guessable credentials or forgeable MD5 authentication hashes. No credentials or user interaction are required, and successful bypass exposes sensitive configurations and can disrupt switch services.
