Stored XSS via unescaped HTML Content settings
Published Apr 29, 2025 · Updated Apr 29, 2025
Stored XSS in CodePeople Calculated Fields Form before 5.2.62 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through form settings. The HTML Content block stores unescaped HTML and JavaScript in form settings, then renders it in the backend preview and frontend. Exploitation requires administrator-level access and a site that denies unfiltered_html, such as a multisite installation; viewing the saved form executes the injected script in a visitor's browser.
