Reflected XSS via unescaped step parameter
Published Dec 21, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Reflected XSS in Shopfiles Ltd Ebook Store 5.8001 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts through the step parameter. The request-handling path reflects the parameter into generated page output without sufficient input sanitization or context-appropriate output escaping. Execution requires a user to follow a crafted link, after which the script runs in that user's browser context and can read or modify page-accessible data.
