Reflected XSS via unescaped se-lists-updated parameter
Published Jan 7, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Reflected XSS in the SmartEmailing WordPress plugin 2.2.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to run scripts via se-lists-updated. The plugin places this request parameter into an HTML response without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping. Exploitation requires a victim to follow a crafted link, causing the script to execute in that user's browser under the WordPress site's origin.
