CVE-2024-1226Network attack vector

Unauthenticated response manipulation via unsanitized CRLF header data

Published Mar 12, 2024 · Updated Aug 5, 2024

CRLF injection in Rejetto HFS 2.2a build #124 allows remote attackers to control HTTP responses through crafted header data. Its HTTP response-generation path accepts invalid characters in header-bound input without removing CRLF sequences, letting supplied data terminate headers and shape the response. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful injection enables response-borne cross-site scripting or cache poisoning without interrupting the service.
