Denial of service via quadratic DER decoding

Algorithmic-complexity denial of service in GnuTLS allows remote attackers to interrupt TLS services with a crafted certificate. During DER decoding, libtasn1 repeatedly searches backward through linked-list SEQUENCE OF or SET OF nodes, turning parent lookup into quadratic work. Any GnuTLS application that accepts an attacker-controlled certificate can become slow or unresponsive; confidentiality and integrity remain unaffected.
