CVE-2024-12233Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated command execution via unrestricted profile upload

Published Dec 5, 2024 · Updated Dec 9, 2024

Unrestricted file upload in Code Projects Online Notice Board 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute commands through registration.php. The profile-picture handler passes the img temporary path and original filename directly to move_uploaded_file, placing attacker-named PHP files under images/{email}. No authentication is required: registration stores the file in the web root, and requesting the uploaded PHP file executes commands as the web-server process.
