Session hijacking via stored Events script execution
Published Aug 20, 2025 · Updated Aug 20, 2025
Stored XSS in Nutanix Prism Central before 2024.3.1 allows remote attackers to hijack user sessions through the Events component. The component stores attacker-controlled content and later renders it in a victim's browser without adequate neutralization; no narrower code locus is public. Exploitation requires a victim to view the poisoned event, after which the script can act with that user's security context.
